| Ancient Pathways
is a wilderness skills company specializing in desert survival and primitive technology. The focus of all
Ancient Pathways courses is to provide hands-on training in practical survival skills and outdoor safety techniques. Our
survival courses emphasize direct experience with the valuable skills you need to take care of yourself in the wilderness. Tony Nester,
who has over 18 years of experience teaching outdoor survival and guiding wilderness trips, began the company in 1989. |

| Tony has
instructed outdoor survival courses for the U.S. Military, National Park Service, USDA, and for private corporations. He is
also on the adjunct faculty at Northern Arizona University where he teaches
outdoor survival and primitive technology courses. His
main area of focus is the southwest and he has survival experience in the Mojave, Sonoran, and Great Basin Deserts of North
America. |

extensive experience in wilderness survival, Tony has a BA in anthropology
and is nationally certified as a Wilderness First Responder through the
Wilderness Medical Institute of NOLS. He is the author of
three books on outdoor survival
and is also a well published writer in
numerous magazines such as
Wilderness Way, Backhome, Popular
Woodworking, and Backwoodsman. |
