This course is open to military
personnel and is similar in nature to the training we provide
for SERE and Special Operations units. It is divided into both
mountain and desert survival training. The first 2.5 days of
training are held at our high-desert basecamp and the remaining
2.5 days are held at elevation in the mountains/forest near
Flagstaff. The course is limited to 10 participants.
Transportation to and from the course site is provided along
with three meals a day. Our teaching style is heavy on hard
skills and light on lecture. Participants can bring any gear
they want to use or try out and are also welcome to sleep out
each night in one of our natural shelters. As the emphasis is on
skills and field application, hiking is minimal.
