Journey to the Tribal Village
of Supai in the Grand Canyon
During this 5-day program, we will backpack into a remote
section of the Grand Canyon which is home to the Supai Indian
Tribe and is an incredible desert oasis adjacent to the Colorado
River. |
Our outdoor guide for the week will be our good
friend and expert on Supai culture, Steve Hirst.
Through Steve's intimate understanding of this
unique Native American culture we will explore and
witness a side of Supai Village life rarely seen to
outsiders. |
Along the way, we will look at traditional plant uses, practice
a variety of primitive living skills, and take time to swim in
the stunning pools below the magnificent blue-green waterfalls
of Havasupai. Experience the Grand Canyon like few ever get to
see!
Please note that we will be camping on Supai tribal grounds so
participants may bring any gear (tent, sleeping bag, etc...)
that they need to be comfortable. |
